We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS DevOps Engineer to join our fully remote team, preferably based near Boston, MA. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines on AWS. You will champion automation, infrastructure-as-code principles, and GitOps methodologies to ensure seamless and efficient software delivery.

Role Overview: As an AWS DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with development and operations teams to streamline our deployment processes, enhance system reliability, and optimize performance. You'll leverage your expertise in AWS services, CI/CD tools, and container orchestration to build robust, automated solutions that support our rapidly evolving product landscape. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of USD 120,000 – 155,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions to automate software build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Manage and provision AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, EKS, etc.) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Implement and manage GitOps workflows with ArgoCD to ensure declarative and automated application deployments to Kubernetes clusters.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and security using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch, setting up alerts and troubleshooting issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application architecture for cloud environments, focusing on scalability, cost-efficiency, and fault tolerance.
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements across all cloud infrastructure and application deployments.
  • Automate operational tasks, incident response, and disaster recovery procedures using scripting languages like Python or Bash.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering role with a strong focus on AWS.
  • Proficient in a wide range of AWS services including compute (EC2, Lambda, EKS), storage (S3, EBS), networking (VPC, Route 53), and databases (RDS, DynamoDB).
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions, for automating software release cycles.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, EKS).
  • Hands-on experience implementing GitOps principles and tools like ArgoCD.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or AWS CloudWatch/CloudTrail.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with other cloud providers (Azure, GCP).
  • Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional).
  • Background in software development with object-oriented languages.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.

What We Offer:

  • A highly competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Flexible remote work environment with a strong emphasis on work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for continuous learning and professional development.
  • A collaborative, innovative, and inclusive team culture.
  • The chance to work on cutting-edge technology and make a significant impact on our product and infrastructure.
