  ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
  Intelsat Inflight has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Software Engineer. You will be part of a team
  responsible for
   Airborne System Software design and development
   evolving and scaling the platform for any WAN technologies (ATG4/ 2Ku/ ESA etc.)
   delivery of application technology solutions and data information planning efforts.

  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
  The ideal candidate for this role will be a working member of an engineering team delivering quality
  technical solutions carrying through from design to deployment. This role requires solid understanding of
  the design and development process, using CI / CD technologies. Primary Responsibilities will include to
   Develop ground - breaking and distributed solutions with high availability and impact.
   Work with the Team Leads to understand user requirements, convert BDD scenarios or user
  stories into product functionality.
   Work with the team members collectively to own and deliver features and flexible to take up any
  type of tasks like develop, automate and test to complete feature.

   Perform engineering quality checks clearly and consistently.
   Work with team to build the competency and quality delivery
   Support on production analysis and designing of the software from requirements.

  COMPETENCIES
   Good communication skills including technical documentation, written reports and proposals,
  development and delivery of presentations and the ability to listen to and communicate effectively
  with customers and vendors. 
   Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, yet cooperatively in a dynamic, matrixed
  environment. 

  QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
   Masters or bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or related technology –
  advanced degree preferred.
   Has an overall experience of 6 to 10 years in the Software Engineering
   Good development experience with Java / C++ / C / Go.
   Good Knowledge on Linux and networking protocols (like: DHCP, DNS, VLAN, TCP/IP, Routing &
  Switching)
   Experience in CI/CD pipeline.
   Knowledge on AWS deployments (EC2, SQS, SNS, Lambda, S3, Aurora, DynamoDB) is a plus
   Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycles; expert knowledge in Agile and Lean
  methods.
   Proponent of DevOps, Agile/XP practices, and CI/CD pipelines
   Ability to work under pressure, prioritize work, coordinate with onsite stakeholders and well
  organized.
   Flexibility in working with technologies and platforms.
   A commitment to excellence, best practices, and the continuous improvement of our products,
  code base, processes, and tools.

  OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS
   Knowledge on Agile software development (story & sprint)
   Knowledge with Continuous Integration and Test Automation methodology
   Experience in GoLang
   Experience with creating and validating user interfaces
